Emotional Stressors
Emotional Stressors can significantly impact brain function. They can also significantly affect emotional stability. Children are extremely susceptible to emotional stress/abuse.
  1. Difficult relationships
  2. Verbal Abuse:
    • You are not good enough
    • You will never amount to anything
    • Your friends are better than you
  3. Being abandoned
Mental Stressors
People are now exposed to an unprecedented amount of information. Feeling overwhelmed by information overload is now commonplace, particularly in the workplace. We may have emotional and physical responses to mental stress.
  • Fear of failure, criticism, public speaking, etc.

Physical Stressors
Physical Stress directly impacts our physical state. Physical Stress may be self-induced or caused by others.

Sadly, we live in a toxic world. Our air, water, soil, and bodies now carry chemicals that did not even exist only a generaton ago.

Biological Stressors
Biological Stressors are living organisms that negatively impact our lives.

Nutritional Stressors
Nutritional Stressors include chemical and biological stressors that we ingest.
  • Artificial: food colorings, preservatives, flavors, sweeteners (Aspartame), etc.
  • Foods grown/raised with fertilizers, pesticides, fungicides, hormones, and drugs
  • Genetically altered foods
  • Sugar (yes, even sugar stresses our bodies)
  • Alcohol
Energetic Stressors
All electrical devices radiate electromagnetic energy. Some people are extremely sensitive to electromagnetic energy. It affects many more (an estimated 20 - 30% of the population) but most people are unaware that it is affecting them.
