The Assessment - Brain Mapping (1 1/2 to 2 hours)
Prior to Brain Training clients receive an assessment/brain mapping. Brain waves are measured. Electrodes are placed on different parts of the scalp to allow for measurements to be taken. The electrodes read electrical activity coming from the brain (they do not send signals into the brain). The assessment is reviewed with the client.
Brain Training Sessions (1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours)
Each Brain Training session is made up of 5 to 8 parts. Electrodes are placed on the scalp to measure brain activity in specific areas of the brain. Brain activity is then converted to highly specialized audio feedback. The electrodes read electrical activity coming from the brain (they do not send signals into the brain).
Clothing
Wear comfortable casual clothing.
Earrings
All but the smallest ear rings need to be removed.
Hair
As electrodes will be placed on your scalp/in your hair, you may want to re-style your hair when done.
Water, Nutrition, and Rest
Brain Training builds new neuro-nets which require water, nutrition, and rest.
- Drink lots of good water
- Eat nutritious natural foods
- Increase protein intake with a quality protein supplement (hemp or whey)
- Increase intake of omega 3/6/9
- A multi-vitamin
- Proper sleep and rest
Alcohol, Smoking, and Recreational Drugs
Alcoholic drinks, smoke, and many recreational drugs contain neuro toxins which can slow and alter the formation of neuro-nets. Please refrain for at least 3 days prior to your sessions. If this is not possible, please refrain during the sessions.
Coffee, Caffeinated Drinks, and Other Stimulants
Stimulants can alter the formation of neuro-nets. Please refrain for 3 days prior to, during, and the week after your sessions.
During and After Your Sessions
Please do not engage in energy based therapies such as Chiropractic, Accupuncture, Reiki, CranioSacral, and others for 3 weeks following your sessions.
Avoid alcohol, smoking, and recreational drugs as they contain neuro toxic components that can affect delicate new neuro-nets. For maximum results, abstain for a minimum of 3 weeks following your sessions.
Your Intentions
